I'm writing a paper and trying to find a single word, maybe two, that somehow represents a type of person who is indifferent to things such as politics and religion.
Someone who prefers not to choose sides and is more concerned about working together with people to get things done rather than spend their time pointing fingers and attacking those who don't see things exactly as they do.
The closest I've come is acedia, but I think that's more of a negative thing, defined as laziness or indifference in religious matters. It's connected to sloth one of the 7 deadly sins, prefer something a bit more positive.
Might be shooting in the dark here, not sure there is a single word or 2 that described someone like this.

I keep stumbling on negative terms. Another is absentia, which is someone who is absent, someone who just hides which isnt really what I'm looking for.

Altruistic? Perhaps too far in the positive direction.

Nonpartisan - more political really. Apolitical.
