Looks great, but those blue circles around the logo really cheapen it.

- Totally can't believe it took that long for someone to mention it.hiten
- it's a tailfin called blueberries, context helps - http://highsierraspo…whatthefunk
- I still hate it. This would have been considered a modern design element 15 years ago. It belongs on a Trapper Keeper.CanHasQBN
- hiten, I remember your old black site from a long time ago. I used to look at it all the time. You do good work!!CanHasQBN
- It's a brand element - like it or hate it, it's still a core element.whatthefunk
- it should have never existed in the first place. That circles-in-a-group gimmick is freshman year college crap.CanHasQBN
- without the circles how do you make the site appear not: nothing but squares!pr2
- @CanhasQBN Thx Dude, reading that made my day.hiten

- Seems a bit dumbed down, suppose it's not written for the likes of us.toodee

I don't see what the fuss is about. Visual design is alright, but there's absolutely nothing that makes this any easier to use than any other travel site. The nav is little clunky.

Having redesigned a major airline site myself, I'm impressed how simple this feels. Airlines have so many business units that all want screen real estate and click throughs from the homepage, which can really get in the way of doing a good job. You often also have to deal with the marketing/website/agency/managem... nature of the project, meaning that a lot of decisions are by committee.
I really like how fresh it feels overall, with my only comment being that some of the light blue text is a little hard to read. I also find the navigation a little clunky because of the way the javascript has been implemented with a delay to stop users opening the nav by accident.

Top nav doesn't work properly on the iPad.

Nice work. I'm just about to enter a pitch for a major Star Alliance airline at work, so this will be a good reference piece for the discovery phase.

So do you think they used the iPad as the starting point for the design, like the BBC are doing now?

Some of it looks like sanitary towel packaging.
