While on a full time job... which one do you prefer?

NYC - no question. Was in London for 10 years, been in NYC for almost 5.
NYC is just more convenient; cheap cabs, closer and easier to see your friends, better (goes on later) nightlife, great inexpensive restaurants, Lots of take-out.
That said, I do love London AND I'm further on in my career here, so a bit more cash.

Londoners seem to knock off work at a more reasonable hour, take their lunch break, and work less on the weekend. New Yorkers leave work at 2am, eat at their desk, and only take one day off. Londoners get 2month holiday. New Yorkers get 2 weeks holiday. The girlies in New York are nicer on the eyes, but have attitude to match. London will drain your bank account in the bat of an eye. NewYork is easier to do on the cheap. The MTA is dirtier than the tube, but will get you there faster. Buses in London take forever.

You are less likely to get shot when in London, but stand more of a chance of getting stabbed though. Be prepared for queues in London, patience is a religion. The transport system is a joke and so are the utility costs. Sick pay is generous and there are better holiday benefits. It takes longer to fire you than in the States. That having said, it costs a fortune to live here, but you're very close to Europe...

Bearing in mind that for most part of the year it gets dark at 5pm in London

I only lived in NYC for 3 months. but that still wasn't long enough to get my head around the following; queuing to get into bars, taxi drivers not knowing where they are going (it's a fricken numbered grid, how hard can it be) and tipping for bad service for fear of being thrown through a window.
I lived in London 5 years before realizing it doesn't matter how many friends you have, you don't live near them and therefore it's too expensive to see them in the evening.
