    have ever paid for advertising?

did you get a decent return on your investment? was it a substantial investment?

i'm considering this path, for a mobile project i have, but a recent article about somone's experience with admob is making me have second thoughts:

Google AdWords works, but you need to understand how to leverage it.

here's another. again, i'm personally working on something exclusive to the mobile market, but interested in typical banner advertisements and the like.

You'll need to invest enough to matter, at least a few grand depending on your target demo and competitive landscape.

For example, if you're an ambulance chasing lawyer trying to get asbestos claims, you'll need to spend crazy amount of money.

i'd be more than happy to invest that much IF i could be guaranteed a certain conversion rate. that's what seems to be hard to determine

    • there is no guaranteeidiots1/2

haha, if i had $100k to blow on advertising i wouldn't be posting this question here. i'd be talking to an ad consultant on madison ave about what happyness is.

    • there'd still be no guarantees even if you had the 100kidiots
