I've been thinking on buying one, any recommendations?

- thanks MrT I will into that!hektor911
- I have this one too and it is great. Don't have a grinder, but a good coffee supplier. Get them to grind for the machine in small quantities and it's great.jamesjohnston

My parents have a nespresso machine and they love it. Personally I think the coffee it makes tastes awful. You're also locked into a closed system, over here there is literally one shop in the city that sells those pods and buying online is not always an option.
Gaggia have a great reputation, on the pricey side but from people I know who have one, well worth it.
I got a Delonghi for my sister and it makes a decent brew, and I have a Kenwood Cafe Retro which looks great, makes a decent cup but is a bit messy.
The delonghi
The kenwood

but if you want the easy way, get http://www.nespresso.com/
they are at least as good as the real thing, and have the advantage that the coffee will stay fresh forever in the sealed capsules, coffe is more expensive though.

- Simple, cheap & built to last unless you melt the handle...ideaist
- yeah!...oey
- I’m using one of these... coffee tends to be a bit bitter... plus the aluminium gives you alzheimer, get a stainless steel onepressplay
- yep, go for stainless steel. the aluminum one turns black and gives you cancerMilan

Other good brands:

http://www.iberital.com/ v good can be crazy loud
http://www.rancilio.it/I just passed on a Gaggia MDF which was great and is still going strong apparently. This is considered a good grinder to start with, not just by me.
I have an Anfim Best Haus grinder now, but I got lucky at a garage sale as even I'm not enough of a ponce to buy one full $.
I'm not sure what you can get in the US but it'll surely be a better selection than here in Aus. Good luck!

Also very good, the ultimate stove-top - much more pressure than the typical Bialetti-style. And about 30x the price.
