anybody know if you can move spreads from one indesign document to another? i've got a document with like 6 spreads and another document with a couple of spreads that i need to merge together.

obviously i can just copy the content, add a spread to the first doc then paste the stuff, but if i was dealing with a lot more spreads, that would be pretty time consuming. gotta be an easy way to merge them, right?

Yeah, just drag the pages from one Pages panel into the other document. You'll have to separate the tabbed documents into separate windows first.

    • ah, was trying that, but didn't separate the tabs. thanks.johnny_wobble

move pages > there's a dropdown menu that should say current document, choose the appropriate open document to move the pages there

Pull the tab off so it is its own palette...

Select the page thumbnails you want and drag them into the new doc pages palette...

    Does that make sense?
