Do you think it's possible to disappear anymore? I'm talking abandon bills, car, student loan payments, etc and go hide in a foreign country.

Go hide forever?
Like take off and start a new life?

No one's going to chase you down in any other country unless you owe like millions.
You can't get work in a lot of countries though without the right papers.

i hope you're not planing on killing somebody.

Nothing is impossible. What you want is simply expensive.

These are strange days when countries extradite their own citizens to other countries.
This said, It'll be hard for you unless you gain a foreign passport. Any Euro ancestors you can piggyback on?

There's a few of these books online by different authors. Or could it be the same person? Hmmmm..

Yes, you can absolutely disappear, just depends on what type of hermit lifestyle you intend on living. I'd advise you to move to a 3rd World Country, that speaks English or at least a version of English.

Be a hermit in Thailand, shouldn't be too hard.
- Thailand has a rather strict visa system.shaft
- I was thinking more along the lines of Argentina or South Africa or Australia in the middle of nowhere.popfodders

Best watch Discovery channel before doing this... and hope you don't mind drinking your own piss.

If you are only trying to escape debt, I'm pretty sure you can just leave and go live somewhere else, provided you can get a visa, find a job, etc.
Student loans, etc, don't cross borders. You'll still be a U.S. citizen and stuck paying taxes, but there will no way for anyone to nail you for any private obligations, assuming you never go back.
If you are fleeing from the law, you'd have to pick one of the countries with no extradition to the U.S., mostly Third World or places like Russia and China. Not sure if they will let you in though.
Alternately, you could just be a bum and go live in the woods in Canada like that guy in the movie.
