Canon Lens doesn't Close all the way?

Anybody have this problem?
I have been carrying it loose in my pocket, and all of a sudden the lens won't close. I can fully close it with my fingers, but it looks like this:

why can't i see imageshack photos?
it shows a placeholder and "Domain Unregistered"...

all i can think is that something small got wedged in there, like sand or lint. try blowing it out with an air canister or take it apart and clean it.
