what detritus said. if you've got a sqaure grid layout and a round logo - either put it or imagine it in a correctly proportioned box. That way it doesn't break your grid / symmetry. Remove logo from box at end if necessary.

I don't know. To me the round shape can be difficult to fit into the rectangular format, without losing the visual harmony.

I don't necessarily find circle logos difficult but usually if I have a logo that's awful to fit into a web design i'll just design the site and then whack the logo in last thing.
Similar to what Detritus is suggesting, really.

I find that it can be difficult to work with round logos in web design. Any good examples of well designed websites with circle logos?
