Just noticed the change and that tons of my links and tags are missing. Are you guys experiencing the same issue? Where did all my shit go?
Fuck this! Are there any other good bookmark sites you use?

Switched to pinboard.in a while back.
The Delicious update looks pretty solid to me, UI is much better and the site isn't running at snails pace anymore

It says I have 3400 'links' yet I only have 25 TAGS with 10 links only. Not adding up you cunts!

Luckily there's Goggle!
Google bookmarks not only imports all your bookmarks from Delicious but also ALL tags + categories and organizes them. Thought you guys experiencing the same shit would find it helpful :)

It's all called Stacks now .. or something
- OSFA0
I guess STACKS work like tags. So fuck all those tags and groups you created before. Now you have to do 'em again...

Not that I use it anymore but I got a few emails from yahoo a while back saying that they'd sold/bought/something and delicious was going to be changing. Think you were supposed to migrate your account over to something else.
- Yahoo bought it, they were going to close it, people complained, they kept it.nosaj
- nope, the founders of YouTube bought it off Yahoo at that pointanimatedgif

hmm... i like it. I haven't lost any links that i've noticed. I think the stacks will help organize my links a little better. Use the stack as a general category and the tags to put a finer point on the bookmark.

OK this is what the yahoo thing said -
This is our final notice to let you know that Delicious is transitioning to a new owner, AVOS. To continue using Delicious, you must agree to let Yahoo@ transfer your bookmarks and Delicious account information to AVOS by 23rd September 2011.
Says if you don't do it then you won't be able to access your account. So there you go.
- Still have my account. They never said anything about keeping the tags.MSTRPLN

Google Bookmarks. Period.
- Requires Google account bullshit thoughanimatedgif
- delicious required a Yahoo account alsoOSFA
- Not from the outset though, it came later. and it doesn't anymore.animatedgif

This problem you're having with Delicious? That's the fate of Facebook, YouTube, cloud storage, etc. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow... But somewhere down the line you'll have your heart broken. Find a low-tech way to backup what you can locally and find ways to replicate functionality. </oldmanrant>

I notice when I log into delicious.com that I'm missing a lot of tags, but the FireFox Plugin seems to have all of my data intact.
I back up locally every once in a while so I'm not too concerned with whatever happens, but it'd be nice if delicious just kept on working like normal.

Yeah, I pretty much stick with Google, OSFA.

I like Pinboard as well.
- pango0
fucking hell... can't find anything accurately with my delicious plug-in in firefox...
- utopian0
I am sticking with Safari & Firefox bookmarks.

huh..my account seems to be gone entirely. And I got that email about giving permission to move it over or whatever. Good thing I exported them all a while back and moved to pinboard. I knew these fucktards would fuck it up

I was using Diigo for a while and it's not bad at all, but I really liked the bare-bones simplicity of Delicious so I went back to it.
For me bookmarks are really just a temporary reference most of the time. I usually use them for a specific project I'm working on and rarely come back to them after a few weeks. That's just me though.
It's kind of crazy but I think a Google search is usually faster and more accurate than my bookmarks when I'm looking for something.
