Top or bottom? And why?
- trautstudio0
TOP.
clean simple balanced
the infinity symbol gives me the idea that if i were to be funded i will be able to keep going forever.

I see the S and F for V2, but it takes a while to pick out. It should be more immediate for it to work.
- Fax_Benson0
I quite like the SF thing in v1, but the top of the S seems too small.
- Amicus0
Version 1, but the breaks in the text (S/T, R and R/S) are a little much, and work against the infinity concept.
- pauliusuza0
thanks, keep em' coming

Pick a more respectable typeface, something that communicates trust.
- any example?pauliusuza
- something more designed... the ones you used look like free fonts from a free font website (no offense)monospaced
- and I can't help see NASA in the first one, especially since you removed the crossbar in the A (bad move!)monospaced
- a NICE slab serif might work wonders for youmonospaced
- I'll pass this to the designer, thxpauliusuza
- perhaps http://www.typograph…
trautstudio - you're not the designer?monospaced
- <utopian
- no, i'm notpauliusuza
- no one sees NASA but you mono.dMullins

1, but with 2's type.
- agree or diff type, symbol could be a bit thinner though, lines seem too thickattentionspan
- horton0
1, but with neither type.
if this logo has anything to do with finances your type is way to causal/sporty/trendy.
think safe, secure, timeless.

- what fonts did you use here?
pauliusuza - better if the stack of SF lines looked like stacks of coins.orpkoobcam2

Go in a different direction for a while.
V1 is almost looking credible and trust worth for a fund, with it's heavy, centred, slightly old fashioned styling. But you lost it with the Starwars "Starters" font.
Also the orange 90˚ rotated 'S' is fluff isn't it? I mean, what does that represent? A fund? A start?
Dig deeper. Question everything. If you can't give an answer to as why you drew something, then loose it. If you can not give a solid reason, eg "this represents a fund(graphic of coins)" or "these whoosh lines represent a start" etc... then delete those elements.
- orpkoobcam20
how about for a grfx - a very simple, clean vector, single colour stack of coins - and the top coin is a stop watch –> Starters fund.
- orpkoobcam20
^ or a bank note with a stop watch graphic in the middle instead of a dead president.
- At least try these ideas so you can eliminate them if they don't work.orpkoobcam2

use 'Brown' in bold:

http://lineto.com/The+Fonts/Late…- Replica looks nice, thanks. Will pass on to designerpauliusuza
- Relica looks like a bastardized version of Helvetica and something else i have seen before?utopian

We are leaning towards v2.
- vaxorcist0
V1, because it will shrink and work in a pile of other logos if you're in some co-branding thing in the future... more horizontal logos drown in a sea of other logos if they're piled together
- CygnusZero40
Dont like the symbol in the 2nd one at all. I have no idea what it's supposed to be, which is a problem. Is it just some random design? A symbol should have a purpose behind, something that's apparent to the viewer.
- monospaced0
Also, red usually signifies a bad return or negative cash flow.
- Aren't we all in the negative cash flow though?utopian
- lol, even still, this is a startup fund business!monospaced
- color will be brown / salad greenpauliusuza
- I'm in the Red and don't be hatin' on me yo!utopian
- hey... negative cash flow is fine!... we make it up with high volume!vaxorcist

'At least try these ideas so you can eliminate them if they don't work'
lol, why would you need to try creating a logo that looks like clip art to know it doesn't work?
