I imagine that they have to separate the two versions of business (DVDs and Streaming) so they can make better agreements with the studios. That's why streaming has less choices because they have to make big agreements to allow movies to be streamed. With DVDs all they have to do is buy them and mail them out. There is much more competition with other streaming services that lock out other companies like Netflix.

Got that email this morning too. Was kinda weird, thought it was spam at first.
Anyone cancelling their Home DVD subscription and just going the streaming route? Thinking about it, need some opinions.

If this is really the way they're going, and the Netflix name is only attached to the streaming service, they had better get their whole catalogue up on that shit. How about some pay-per-view options (aka, rentals)?

I got it and sent in a claim form online. Easy. Let's see if anything comes about from it end of February. Hopefully will get some type of subscription discount.
