I have been looking at my page for too long and need an objective opinion
If you are looking at someone's work would you just rather see a few options of their favorite pieces (scrolling)? or a bunch of thumbnails to choose from?(clicking)
scrolling

Definitely clicking.
If the connection is slow a long page of graphics slows everything down even if you have the top half loaded already. Test this on a slow connection or a phone. (not that you want people looking at your work on a phone, but just for testing)Your illustration and typography are great.

Clicking comes with the ability to sort by category as well.

Thumbs for sure. Those are good size thumbnails too - you can actually tell what you are looking at.
I hate this new trend to have 'continuous' scrolling (like FB is doing now - loads as you scroll, damn annoying)
- Infinite scrolling bothers me, too.Continuity

it doesn't matter, all looks the same...

I like the scrolling. The images are big and I don't need to think—just scroll.

can't we just get the best of both world's at the same time? like getting that delicious honey nut taste AND a crispy nut crunch?

i think thumbnails has a loss for your incredible work visuals, and also a loss of impact.
i need to choose what to click first, while scrolling you can make an optimum order for people to see, and is easier for you to update.great works man!

Tablet / smart phone > scrolling (only because it's too slow to continually go back and forth between pages, connection and device hardware is too slow)
Desktop > Clicking (like the option of seeing more than one thing at once. Whatever gets my attn I want to go to quicker, like to see things as a whole.)

clicking gets my vote... i looked at more of your work with thumbs

Scrolling all the way, clicking back and forth is so '98
If you have multiple slides for each, you can always do a horizontal scrolling carousel. This works beautifully on tablets.

Clicking. Might I suggest only 5 rows of thumbnails per page though? If it's clicking you want, you can just go all the way and remove the scrolling by displaying fewer thumbnails at a time. Cheers, and btw, I still love your work.

Scrolling: - for impact (jaylarson) - Tablet / smart phone (fyoucher1)

Scrolling 5
Clicking 6I think you need to just make the thumbnails in one giant column so you have to scroll to see them then click on one to bring it up. That will satisfy everyone in this thread hypothetically. ;) ;)

gonna go with clicking due to the amount of http requests that you generate by the long page. No one is going to even see all of that all at once, they may look at a few things that interest them (which is hard to do via the scrolling theme I think) and then contact you or not.
If you did go with scrolling scheme, you might want to consider offloading image hosting to like flickr or something and just grabbing the url from there and using that as the image src... It would be faster to load by far.

I'm on an iPad and when i saw the thumbnails, I looked for about 6 seconds, then closed the window. When i opened the scrolling page, I checked out everything. Scrolling/flicking on the iPad is way a better experience than clicking. And your work is great, which trumps the whole clicking scrolling debate.
