Has anyone had the following problem?
I create hyperlinks in InDesign, output a PDF and clicking the links in the PDF go to a log in page but if I paste in the same link into a browser it goes to the correct link instead.

who's log in page?

A log in page on the same URL/domain I'm trying to link to.

Check the Hyperlinks option in the Include section of the General tab when you export the PDF.

It's Acrobat/Reader causing the problem, not InDesign.
I'd guess.

I've just spend hours trying to remove the links from my InDesign doc. I even pasted everything into a new InDesign file and that didn't work. I also tried updating InDesign. Now, it crashes half the time I open it. I also tried the Remove All Links button in Acrobat's Document Settings Tools.
This is the worst behavior I've seen from Adobe in about a decade.
Hyperlinks in InDesign are a no go. Do not recommend.

Since it was impossible for three people to come up with an answer as to how you can remove hyperlinks from a PDF (that works), I took all the links and converted them to bit.ly links. Links long to have line breaks in InDesign truncate the link and there's no other way to edit them.
Thank you Adobe.

You can uncheck the interactive URL box when you output the PDF. Also just select and delete all the links in the hyperlinks palette in InDesign and they will stop working. I use these all the time so I do normally recommend them.
- Tried both of those things too. I eventually gave up on my computer and sent it to 2 co-workers. They had no luck either.CyBrainX

CyBrainX, you are wrong.
Thank you for writing to PBS. We always enjoy receiving feedback from our viewers and fans.
The educational goal of SESAME STREET is to help prepare children for school and to put them on a positive trajectory for life. Childhood obesity is a serious health concern in this country and the producers of SESAME STREET decided to include this important subject in their curriculum. While they have chosen to use the power of SESAME STREET to teach children about healthy foods and other important healthy habits, they have no plans to change Cookie Monster's name or his wonderful, compulsive personality which our viewers have grown to love. Cookie Monster will continue to obsess over his adored favorite: the cookie, but he now also eats fruits and vegetables.
Thank you again for your email. We appreciate your concern for SESAME STREET and hope you and your family continue to enjoy the wide variety of programs available on your local PBS station.
