flash catalyst-html problem

Had a few days to go from logo concept to temporary website for a musician.... so i thought i would give the new flash catalyst5.5 a go.
Havent done a flash based site in a while and am feeling like a really dull tool right now.
Output the "deploy to web" version and tested it on a PC to then realize my flash file was way to big for most browsers.
My issue is that i cant get the html file to scroll the flash file up or down to view the design that is outside the viewable area. I looked online and the overflow:auto or overflow:scroll element seemed to be the cure for my html issue but its still filling the page with no ability to scroll the .swf
the site is buggy right now and im well aware of that. the "simplicity" of catalyst is a bit misleading. I should have just cracked open flash for this but was really hoping to be able to go from pshop-illy to live in a weekend.
danielplaysflute.info/Main.html is the file in question. if anyone has the solution to get the swf content to scroll id love to know. Thx

is there a way to set the stage size in catalyst> If so set the height and width accordingly and then you will see scrolling outside that area
- my stage size is set to 1200x800 and if i resize it from catalyst i would need to scale every element to fit. hoping the swfsize link below is my answer.freakpelican
- swfsize library below is my answer.freakpelican

swf size looks promising but i was really thinking that the html file was the answer. somehow the swf that catalyst produces seems to be filling the browser past its stage height of 1200x800. im definitely not used to that happening with a flash file normally you can right click outside of the stage width and get your "view source" and other html default options.
not to sure how to use the swfsize library inside of a catalyst project at the moment... attempting that now. thx for the link fyouher!

Do you have a link to the HTML so we can see what's happening? Sounds like you need to change StageScaleMode...not sure how that works in Catalyst but it's Flash-based so it should be the same code (maybe a different way to change the prop tho)

danielplaysflute.info/Main.html
thats the html that catalyst output and i thought that changing the "overflow" to scroll would solve it.
it creates the scroll elements chrome but no actual scrub bar or arrows to scroll with. im feeling pretty incapable at the moment. never thought id get hung up on such a seemingly simple part of the deployment.

That's because ur Flash is set to fill the browser window 100%, 100% and you probably have the StageScaleMode set somewhere as well.
Your best bet is probably to use this, SWF Fit>
http://swffit.millermedeiros.com…and then get rid of the 100% width and height scaling of the Flash movie and HTML that holds it. Stop using the HTML that Catalyst is outputting and do it manually using HTML and SWF Object and SWF Fit.

danielplaysflute.info its live now and "working" i just opened up FlashCS5.5 made a dimension matching 1200x800 file and had flash publish its html wrapper for said file.
was able to change overflow:hidden to overflow:scroll and the problem was solved.
thanks for your help Qooobers. All in all this is one more reason i need to get back to OOP and AS3 and quit trying to get work done super quick in catalyst. Felt good to be back in the FlashIDE anyways.
