Looking for mini headphones (no earphones or those giant shells) both for use at home as outside. I've always been a big Sennheiser fan.
Any suggestions?

Closed or open, i.e. can they leak sound outside? What's your budget?

If you can afford these, they're great! http://ultimateears.com/en-us/pr…
Basically block out outside noise, and I never have to turn my iPhone past the *first/lowest* volume setting.
After I damaged my left ear hearing, I decided to invest in some headphones I'd never have to turn up... I also have ear plugs from the same company.

Grado labs. Or if you can find the Sony classic studio monitors.
Sennheiser is crap. Sorry, I know many will disagree but I have had 3 pairs of those and the build quality is awful. They always break.
- strange, I've had the same ones since 96 and they're great.ben_

I had two reasonably high pairs of sennheisers, one pair did break, they sounded good while they lasted, I have some grados now and although they sound great they leak too much sound if you work around people. I have some audiotechnicas while sound pretty good and are so cheap, they don't look that well built but have been thrashed for a few years and are still mint.
I am looking at these new balanced armature canalphones which are getting cheaper and cheaper and sound amazing, various companies doing them, have a listen to some, amazing!

I've had Sennheiser PX 200's for 8 years or so. Used them damn near daily, absolutely love them. They fold up really well too. Super comfortable. Really, I can't say enough about these.
- Sorry not sure if that read right.. but I've had the same pair for 8 years. Only the padding around the pads are starting to go.mathinc
