I didn't get it yet...I've been watching eBay for used ones but haven't found any so far. Might break down and go to the camera shop and check it out next week.

i've got the GX100 and love it as a camera. very discrete.
always have a Nikon wide angle attached.
great hipshot camera.i opted for it over the GRD as it had a zoom (nice extra to have)
I went back to film photography for a couple of years, shooting with a Lomo LC-A (with wide angle lens attachment) and was looking for something to replace it (as film/developing costs were racking up).
The great thing about the Ricoh range is that they dont look anything special and are quite similar in that sense to the LC-A.

Terry Richardson uses this.

The best / most fun camera I have ever used. Much better without the 21mm adapter. So discreet and the snap function is excellent. Only thing it lacks is IS

Man if you have leica glass laying around that GXR is a no brainer.

@sublocked Did you ever get one of these? I'm flogging mine for the new one if you're still after one. Your email link doesn't work btw.

Is it better than the GF1?
- Atkinson0
Check Wouter http://wouter28mm.wordpress.com/…, he used grd3 for a long time and has recently been using a gf1 + 20mm. GF1 will get you a sharper image but the grd has something about it that is just fantastic, and the noise pattern is very close to film grain.

Did you get the GRD3? This week I saw some rumours of GRD4 but nothing significant.

I broke my first gen GRD and have since been using the GF1 - I must say the GR is just sooo much more convenient if you are like me who goes everywhere with your camera. Both cameras deliver great images, and I do love the option of potentially mounting a Leica lens on the GF1 too if and when I can afford one. The GR though, damn, you just can't go wrong with that.
GRD3 have been out for a while, maybe wiser to wait for the 4th gen?
- Atkinson0
Yeah 4th gen maybe quite soon, although they keep their value pretty much and are fairly hard to find at times. Maybe get the grd1 in the mean time, which has apparently an even better noise pattern

loved my GRD for black and white and my GR1v was the best p&s camera I've ever owned, period - with neopan 1600 it was a killer.
