USAA is amazing, rated the best in just about every category I think. I use them for everything (Home, Life Insurance, Valuable Personal Property, SEP IRA, Mutual Funds/Investments, Mortgage, Checking, Savings, Auto, and 529 College Savings Program). But you have to be in the military or have direct family who is (My Dad was in the army and navy, so it was passed down to me). They go out of their way to make sure shit goes right for you and they're rates are great considering the amount of coverage you get. Their website is easily the best out there and their banking kicks ass (the deposit check through your iPhone is the best part).
- << oooooh - I have iPhone deposit through chase, it really is amazing to be able to do that.bulletfactory

You can usually get some sort of discount for grouping your auto and homeowners insurance. That said, I have Liberty Mutual homeowners. Your rates obviously are based on the size of your house, neighborhood, amenities in your house, proximity to natural disaster, etc. So just do a little shopping and you'll find a decent rate. It doesn't take that long to get a quote together. Congrats and good luck!

Just got a great quote from State Farm, live within the water zone as well.
