Watched it. Liked it.
I like that there's a lot of symbolism and religious connotations that needs to be searched after the movie.
One thing tho, the way they jump off from their carrier to the planet surface for the first time is very careless, I was more careful on my seat than them. And I'd never take my helmet off because the air is of so fresh.

Watched it a second time and it made a lot more sense. I enjoyed it.

Film just landed here in Vietnam - have to admit the story was just okay, whereas the eye candy was much better - and the first time I've had Dolby 7.1 rattle my fillings, as an extra added pleasure... =)

As I kid I'd always have a new film obsession "OMG This is my new favourite film ever!!"
These days it seems there's always something off or wrong with these big blockbusters. Especially here with Prometheus, it seemed to come so so close yet so far to being a masterpiece. I guess old age is a factor as well... Either way I really hope Ridley doesn't mess up the Bladerunner sequel.

We are in Paris right now and saw it last night in English. The French subtitles were fun to follow.
Had a lot of expectations for the movie and honestly felt a bit let down. Everything about the visuals was awesome, but the story and a lot of dialog felt kind of flat. They were all very quick to just figure stuff out, often with little backing it up. Lots of conclusion jumping that made it seem hasty and trying to meet a time limit.
Anyone else feel that way?

Breat Easton Ellis: "When movies deliver the atmosphere and the grandeur and the precision of something like Prometheus: the flaws in the script DO. NOT. MATTER. "

Certain things I appreciated more on the second time. Script wise it is true that it's a big fuck up in the last 30 mins... almost like they run out of time.
But if you just sit down and enjoy the film it provides other things.
