I'm looking for new timesheet programme.
i've used excel forever and I just realised I hate it.
any suitable ones for a small studio?
free or cheap would be nice.

pen & paper + mental math
- Why bother with such a response?detritus
- obviously, to bother you. I never understood why people use software to do such a simple task. overly complicating life.doesnotexist
- the time sheets help the clients and you manage your work, you may have a large workload.e-pill
- using a timesheet app help manage your time, & addresses your managed time to the cliente-pill

Basecamp has a timesheet app built into the project manager, but I use Timefox.

doesnotexist - i would love to use pen and paper but we work on many concurrent projects some of which have over 15 partner organisations in many different countries in Europe.
Some of the projects have their own specific timesheets..
- makes sense then. i work with smaller boutiques & smaller teams.doesnotexist

just write down random shit and bill accordingly, that seemed to be the norm at one agency I freelanced at.... the account staff changed everything anyway.... then we got all these freaked out clients calling us....

Until 6 months ago I used Studiometry and Harvest. Studiometry was pretty good but had a lot more functionality than I needed and the application seemed to be slowing my computer down. I didn't care or Harvest's interface. I just started using OnTheJob which fits my needs at the moment. It doesn't offer much outside of tracking and simple invoicing, though.

freshbooks is a good one for time sheets and billing/invoicing.

It is not the most beautiful piece of software, but I really enjoyed using CurrentTrack by Developware at my old agency. It handles everything from employee management, to vendors, to timesheets, to invoicing in a really easy-to-use web-based solution: https://www.currenttrack.com/
No clue what they charge though.
