Heading out to Kuala Lumpur and tour of Thailand tomorrow starting at 5am. Not looking forward to the 30hrs of traveling. I will be in Kuala Lumpur, Pattaya, Bangkok, and Patong. Anyone have any recommendations that doesnt involve ladyboys or pingpong shows?
I actually have a one way ticket booked and will be freelancing from there for a while so I am up for checking out other cities too if anyone knows of anything cool near by. So far phuket is a big winner because i found some awesome hotels for $23/night.

If you are gonna be in Phuket- go a bit further and take a little boat ride out to Phi Phi. May be a bit more cost, but so worth it. Take a snorkeling tour, kayak, relax.

Bangkok: take a bike tour to pra padaeng, and yes got to chatuchak market. For the rest of Thailand I always enjoyed renting a car and just go along. especially if you have the time to go to phuket by car there are amazing spots on the way like the bat cave of petchburi or rainforests for hiking....

The Sanctuary of Truth in north Pattaya is very much worth checking out.

KL been in alert, last Sat there were 50.000 opposition protesters clashed with police. It wont be like that now, but be careful. If I were u I would rather go to Bali & the Gilis instead before off to Thai.
can join Tiger Muay Thai tarining camp to be the next Tony Jaa or just to loose some weigh, they got programs for obese there.
