Anyone rec a good PC music player? Other than Winamp & VLC. I'm pondering Songbird, foobar and even the Zune player...opinions? Other suggestions? Strictly for playing tunes off an ext. hard drive connected to my pc laptop. Thanks.

I used to use Songbird - I think it is better than iTunes when it works, and it is very similar to it in UI as well so theres no learning curve, you just get neat extra features, such as browsing to a music blog in the browser and it instantly finding all the music and you can then add those to playlists - Mix streamed songs with hard drive ones.
The trouble with it is that even now it still has some odd bugs. If it didn't have these bugs I'd see it as the strongest player (if a bit bloaty), and that's why I've gone back to WinAmp.
