you've lost your influence, get someone else to comment on how poorly it looks. That usually gets the conversation started.

Just explain to him he is more than welcome to do it himself and mess it up, but sending out poorly thought out / poorly presented emails isnt conducive to the success of his business.
If he still wants to do it himself then he knows he isnt doing all he can for himself.

Who cares really, if he wants to do it himself then let him.
As long as your name/studio isn't on the email

Why do you care?

I take pride in my work and want to help my clients look good.

- It's just a junk email mate, no one's gonna even read it.

Did you get paid? Are you charging to the consultation?
I'd add a little more onto the next project for headaches and chalk it up to "cash flow". Forget being attached, some people just don't want help and don't see value in things being done correctly (at least not all the time).

Emphasis how audiences are sensitive to visuals that work well and overall "well crafted" messages. And be patient. Perhaps he will come around and accept your assistance. Clients must come to trust you and see you as part of their camp, it seems like this client has not done that yet.

You are a lousy bunch whiney... designers!
Freedom, it's your bloody fault for doing a design that is not user proof. Unless you started working with clients yesterday or you never dealt with user generated content you must assume that you end client will fuck up any template that you can put together.
When the bloody CMS thing kicked in to the interwebs we stopped using the ubber fancy pics to fill our wireframes and we started testing designs with shitty poor-judged choices and we tried making things look good with 'real' content.
Also... there are a few options of scripts that will re-export your JPGs into something more digestible... so no excuse in there.
LASTLY, if a client would be able to tell right from wrong in terms of design, why the hell would he hire you?!
Sorry, it is a bit of a shite day so this is my venting here. At the end of the day, no matter how tasteless clients are, they pay your wages, aye?

client fuck up = cha ching!
- animatedgif0
End of the day though it's junk mail, no one wants to read the message anyway. It's just a cash vampire to use on clients
- freedom0
true, maybe I can forget this happened.
- freedom0

- dbloc0
we add a wordpress blog to a lot of our sites....No matter how many times we tell them, they still add random html (by copying and pasting from an HTML page) to the posts fucking up the entire page with stray divs and shit.

masturbate and call it a day.

Caring about such trivial things got so tiring for me and one of the main reasons I quit design. Not worth stressing over in the grand scheme of things. Stupid photo position in a junk email. Forget that shit. Move on.

Switch off...
They'll never learn and they are just not worth it...
