Just curious how many of you shoot Raw+jpg? Is it worth the extra storage space on your cards?

I do, if I think I have enough storage space to cover whatever it is I'm shooting.

I wish my camera had a "Delete All jpegs" function. I could shoot raw+jpg and if I run out of space I could quickly ditch the jpgs. Maybe next body.

I always do. I don't always have the time to process hundreds of RAW files when the client just wants to see the images. It's easy just to share the JPG with the caveat that processing hasn't been done yet.

    • I didn't even know raw + jpeg was an option. Duh on me.CyBrainX

If i ever catch something im happy with and want to edit it, ill always want the RAWR. but if your not a tweaker like myself, you can stick to jpegs..

i shoot RAW all the time now. I love the RAW editing option in PS. Every month I have to go back through my RAW images and delete ones I do not plan on keeping. I am surprised at how much of my hard drive is being filled by these images though. I will be buying an external just for photos I guess.

Yes, both. Makes it quick to see thumbnails without going into Bridge. Also if there are some simple images I don't care about that I just want to quickly show, I have them without any work.

Only RAW & sRAW. No reason for JPEG, unless you are shooting a high sequence shot (aka action photography) and you need every bit of frame you can get.

I never shoot RAW, I don't think i've yet to take a picture and thought i need more options in PS or lightroom.

(I generally don't shoot for money though)

    • oh no, this makes me the odd one out.mydo
