I deleted G+...I think it's crap actually...never really liked FB and I don't like cheap imitations like G+...
- ha ha, it's true it is, however, if I can get backlinking out of it for SEO purposes, okpopfodders

Sync Google+ to Twitter, Identi.ca and Facebook
Important notice: +Agent G is now known as +Rob McGeeInstructions
Add +Rob McGee to one of your circles (This step is optional, but makes it easier to share your posts with him)
Sign in with Identi.ca, Twitter or Facebook (See buttons at the upper right corner)
Once you have connected, you will be given an authentication string. Create a Google+ post containing your authentication string and share it only with +Rob McGee

I don't know if this has been addressed or not but I have a google+ account with a profile and the whole shabang and now it will not let me log in to it. It says "Already invited? We've temporarily exceeded our capacity. Please try again soon." Anyone else getting this?
- monospaced0
Agreed. Google+ will just be part of anyone's Gmail/Google experience and it will be ubiquitous and probably not that engaging. I signed up all excited, but was disappointed to see it's just another stream of the same crap, but this time with tons of people I don't even know sharing with me. I figure a large percentage of the 25 million users don't even sign in more than once a week if they're anything like me. We'll see.

^ yeah but Google already has a massive user base interested in how they are trying to expand. None of the others did and more or less grew from word of mouth and marketing. Takes more time, its more about staying power now, that graph could easily be a sharp spike shortly if they aren't careful.
I'm not inclined to think it will become like Wave, I think they'll just slowly roll it into the over all Google experience. But it needs time just like the other successful social networks.

I don't think momentum is killed at all. I'm guess some people would like it to be but they are growing like crazy even in closed field test trial.
Google now 25+ million users and the users using the service is very long according to ComScore.
http://mashable.com/2011/08/02/g…
Only 1 month in and they have 25+ million users.
In comparison, MySpace had the fastest growth out of any network and it took them 20 months to reach the same number Google reached in a month.
- I just re-read my post. Awful. It's like I was drunk :) Hope you still understand what I meant heh.dasDesigner
- You also have to ocnsider the state of social media in the timeframe of each company's growth.locustsloth
- Each of these other companies tread a path for G+, each innovating in their own waylocustsloth
- G+ is almost like an aggregate of the features of some of the others. The circles thing was the only really new feature, and not enough to keep people's attention, IMHOlocustsloth
- snazzy enough to keep people's attentionlocustsloth

I was reading an article earlier today, and noticed all of the social media sharing bits at the bottom of it, and saw FB shares in the 500 range, and G+ at 11 shares. If that's the general indication of things, doesn't look like G+ is the success Google had hoped for.

i actually think the invite thing killed the momentum.

This place is becoming a ghost town

I am excited by the potential of this, but feel it's probably going to be another Wave.
It's integration with Picasa is fucking excellent though, and I like that you can share Plus content with non-plus users.
If I upload pics to Facebook to share with friends and family, friends can see it but my older family can't. On G+ I can share via email as well, which is nice.

shit sucks, unless it kills facebook then why do I need 2 social networks?

Brilliant guy and fantastic engineer

You don't need to email, when you share something you can pick who you're sharing with, and that can be an individual user.
