Fuck my life with those Argentinian fucks, I´m so pissed off!!!!

Yes, that is true. How he must miss the best midfield of the world right about now. Even then, he better step up a bit.

VAMO' COLOMBIAAAAAAAAAA

AGAIN Messi?
Oh, how Messi must be missing Iniesta and Xavi....
- Ambushstudio0
All Batista has to do is have Pipita there instead of Tevez, Dimaria goes in minute 1, also Aguero should be in from the beginning, Messi is ok, but he is no Maradona, he will never be the one man that can win a championship like Pelusa did back in the 80's.
Argentina's problem is in the midfield like dorf said.

Agree... hopefully those who think Messi is better than Maradona can finally shut it. Diego WAS the team, and not only skills-wise, he had heart, passion and would fuck you up if he needed to. Messi lacks this still... maybe one day he gets there, but still long road...
Argentina is missing a leader and someone who could organize things and feed Messi, Tevez, Aguero or Higuain... like Xavi and Iniesta do in Barca.
And just to wap it up... in Europe, everybody respects Messi and avoids 'hurting' him, so he does whatever he pleases... in South America... it's a different game. You wanna be a star... you gotta prove it...

Game has changed a lot since Maradona, before it couldve been a one man game, but its not the same now. Ive always thought comparing players is a bit absurd in sports, the game, rules, tactics, players evolve and they have to be addressed dif. Never saw Pele or Maradona but im sure they were the best.
I think Messi is quite awesome but its true that Argentina lacks a player that can play with him better, aguero seems like that guy.

I agree k_temp, it´s suck a delicate topic as some of us have been waiting for more than 20 years for Argentina to shine as they did in 86, from Batistuta to Caniggia to Crespo to Aymar, we´ve been always waiting for that Messiah like figure that will take argentina to the top again...
I´m not even comparing the players, its that leader we never get, Kempes did it in 78, Diego in 86, sadly I think Messi wont be that guy, at least not until Xavi and Iniesta play in Argentina.
The midfield has always been Argentina´s weak spot, even in the Maradona days that was a problem, I guess Passarela could be a more or less balancing figure there. The only guy that could have done the job to perfection was Fernando Redondo but sadly he got hurt really bad and his career was cut short very early, who knows what will happen; I´m just really sad I wont be able to enjoy this tournament as I though I would.

@ambush.
I think their midfield is great, great quality players but for some reason the coach is looking at other thing. Pastore, banega, mascherano, cambiasso... these are quality players that are crucial to their team.
However, i think the defense sucks balls... seriously.Argentina cant play like Barca, its impossible. They think that JUST feeding Messi is the solution but frankly he can't do anything surrounded by 5 guys and no one to play with.
- A lot of the selections are trying to play like barça. Brasil was the same, advancing through the middle every time.SoulFly

Totally, they need Aguero, Pipita and Tevez up there man, I can´t understand why they keep thinking Messi will be able to do everything...
Do you really think the midfield is good? I mean those dudes are fucking solid, each one of them but for some reason they seem like shit never gets done, the defense its a shame I agree.

Plus Maradona and some of argentina players used to play with a little help of good old 'her' lol

^Damn thats a big bag of ¨perico¨

wow slow start for the top contenders... Let's see how today's games go. Even though Mexico has to play them I'm very curiuos to see how Uruguay and chile do.
- SoulFly0
Is it me or is Argentina trying to emulate the Spain jerseys, with the larger shield? I'm pretty sure Adidas deployed it.

Awesome!!! Thats the coolest thing ever.
Wow Mexico sucks, these guys might not even make it out of the group. Both goals off corner kicks, they need some major help in that area

Such a shame Concacaf forced Mexico to send teenagers that just met each other recently.
- ellaborate, how come concacaf decided who went?Ambushstudio
- Concacaf forced Mexico to send their best players to the Gold cup to increase revenue from ticket sales.VectorMasked
- Mexico sometimes didn't bring their "A" team to the Goldcup coz Mexico wanted them to go to Copa America.VectorMasked
- But since Mexico is not from the Conmebol (copa america) federation, Concacaf told them that if they wanted to keep going to...VectorMasked
- ...to South America they had to bring a u-22 team. It's basically a team made up of teens and bench warmers.VectorMasked
- It's all about Money and competition level at the Gold Cup. Concacaf openly said this last year.VectorMasked
- Concacaf knows that Mexico cares a little more about Copa America even though Mexico doesn't get points from FIFA in that tourneyVectorMasked
- Mexico cares more about competing with decent rivals like Brazil, instead of jamaica and Guatemala @ the Gold cup.VectorMasked
