Yep, FPS sucks. Been trying to work out how to set the defaults so be 25fps...
Anyone have ideas?

Can you please update this screenshot with the entire render settings window?

set a project to 25 FPS in project settings along with it set in the render settings. Choose Pulgins - user Scripts - Save as template.... Save that file as new.c4d to the root of the application folder. Quit the application. Now every time you launch a new project it will use the new.c4d as your base file.
- Not so rusty.
