How do you create very sharp line in photoshop. Doing a website and the the line tool is creating a 1 pixel line that looks thick. I want to be half as thin. Ive seen thinner more crips on websites...what's the trick? Tried opacity

Turn anti-aliasing off?

You have to divide the pixel value by 0.

Zoom out.

don't use the brush tool. use the pencil.

If your line tool appears thicker than 1 px its because its on a half pixel. Zoom all the way in and move it with the path selection tool until its a solid.

Preferences > General > Image Interpolation: Nearest Neighbor (preserve hard edges)
Also, you should be creating lines with the 'Line Tool' which can be found beneath the shape tool. You can specify a 1px thickness. Not if you don't have nearest neighbor selected as your image interpolation method it will anti-alias the line, causing it to 'blur' or 'thicken'

Sometimes the shape line tool has a half pixel shade on either side of the line element, its more noticeable on lighter lines over a dark background. I rasterize, and then mask and delete the extra pixels.

- 1px lines 27% opacitykalkal
- This is what happens in illustrator if you're viewing a file at 100% and you set line thickness than 1px btw. It lightens the lines, it can't make them thiner than 1px.kalkal
- can't make them thinner than 1px.kalkal
- *less than 1pxkalkal
- I was going to suggest this too.flyingnowhere
