preferably one that doesn't look like some IT guy's side project....

most likely for it to be stable and reliable you will need to add php + a database. you have to be able to write/read and store the data. html/css, though possible would explode. causing you to go to the this solution. just saving you some time and pain. ;)

interesting list....
what exactly are you looking for?
1. a forum to ask questions about CSS quirks you're baffled by?
2. a forum to learn best practices,etc
3. a forum to see how this stuff will change in the future?

Teh interwebz is some IT guy's side project.
Sorry if there aren't enough pictures of Tom Hanks astride a 2Advanced pony.

vaxorcist...
1 & 2. Just a place to ask my dumb questions on basic html/css. I guess I wanted something more design oriented but it seems like those sites are on the cutting edge (html5/css3/js/etc). Which are great but I want to get the fundamentals down first.

Stack Overflow -> So many patronizing fuckers. Don't like that place and its presentation after a while becomes something like: "please give me a break ffs".

QBN. Lets take it over ;o)

I see......
The oddball problem of CSS is that you read the specs, you write code according to the specs... and.... it looks like shit in some browsers.... so you ask a question and all the people who have already figured it out may already be tired of the same questions, so you're surrounded by people who don't know either.... argh!
The "box model" in IE is a major issue....
but in a way, I think a number of smart tutorials are the best way to learn HTML/CSS, s m a s h i n g m a g a z i n e .com has some, as does sitepoint's PDF's.... some are even worth the $20
If anyone can post their favorite short simple and plain tutorial links that may help too!
CSS seems a bit like windsurfing, you lean by falling over a thousand times and then you finally get it....

"CSS seems a bit like windsurfing, you lean by falling over a thousand times and then you finally get it...."
You nailed it there. Takes a while to master, but when it clicks!
Best tip ever:
* html * {display:none}
Screw IE6

hahaha well said vaxorcist!
It's like I'll feel pretty good about it and then when I start building I come up with a small little problem and then all of a sudden 4 hours goes by trying to find a solution. Then I go to sleep aggravated and between 6am and 606am the solution just hits me randomly out of nowhere. and then I get up again and I'm feeling pretty good but then it goes back to step one and it repeats over and over and over :/
