Examples of 1000px + sites

  1140px seems to be slowly becoming the new 960px....

  Look through sites like
  http://siteinspire.com/showcase

  and find ones that appear to be fairly wide in the preview box. I can't give any specifics though I'm afraid.

  Are you looking for fairly large (as in popular/well known) websites, or any old site?

  It's not the new 960, I hope.

  800 was narrow and had to be phased out but 1140 is a bit too far.
  How much can you cram into a page? Do you have to?

  I am typing this on a 2560x1600 screen btw. When I set my browser width to 1280 (most laptops) it is already wide enough and sites optimized for 1024 look good on it, with some margin on the sides.
