Working on a e-commerce & brand site for a big women's lifestyle/gymwear brand thats making a push more into everyday fashion and I'm a dude.

imho most fashion brands suck online going for style over substance and usability... its a shame cuz if they werent so stuck up their own arses with some twisted sense of brand most could make £££££££ instead of ££££££.
case in point. we recently did some cro on a test page that showed a 40% increase in conversion... it didnt go live because the boss didnt like the design... go figure

Yeah well I'm on a redesign of a site that I did about 2 years ago, with a focus on increasing sales..so usability is everything! We've already spent a few weeks going back and forth with the client on the IA and now I'm getting a feel for fresh stuff out there in the space..it's hard to know when you aren't the target audience lol.
The brand I'm working with is very progressive, and the design needs to reflect this.
