2nd to worse allergy outbreak I've had. Can't get a good nights sleep and currently suffering an asthma attack. They say this year is really bad. Time to move to London.

London has a smog warning at the moment... Not good for asthma.

I currently have a serious allergy to all the alcohol I drank last night.

I hate that everyone around me has allergies. I don't have them myself, thank goodness, but I'm surrounded by sniffling and nose-blowing and sneezing and nasal-sounding voices when I'm at work.

Mine have kicked in, here in Toronto (tree pollen). Taking some allergy pills, it's helping.

I went the first 25 years of my life without suffering allergies... and then Boom. The spring of 2009 was one of the worst times in my life because of adult-onset allergies. Tree pollen destroys me and so do dust-mites. Have to use hardcore nasal spray to free up my airways.
And yes, this year has been pretty bad. Last two weeks have been annoying to say the least. Getting poor sleep, eyes puffy and black, whiney-nasally breathing and drainage. Allergies suck dick.

Know your 'triggers' - for me it's a lack of sleep and drinking too much alcohol.

Had asthma as a kid, it was horrid - grew out of it, thankfully. still have allergies, though. I find that poor hydration, too much yeast (bread is my weakness), and missing my workouts can lead to a 30 sneeze a minute morning - complete with burning/itchy eyes.
If i must medicate, Benadryl works like a charm, until the onset of the coma...

This year and 2003 were the worse seasons for me. First time I had it in 2003, I thought I got sick but realized I was getting pollen raped.

anyone else get a runny nose & sneezing after running outside? When I worked out in a gym, I never suffered from this. Tried claritin and it helped a little with the sneezing, but the runny nose is still there.
I'm debating whether I want keep running because of this.

I can give you 3 hints how to lose your asthma, my lung volumes went from 46% to 69% and now I'm at fully 99%. I don't know which one of these was the decisive factor.
1. Disinfect your lungs. Bacteria or fungi are one of the main cause of asthma. Essential oils are known to kill both, but how do you get them in your lungs? Some essential oils can only leave the body via your breath when you eat them. Aniseed, fennel and garlic have them, if you don't like them to eat, drink a lot of tea of them.
2. Train your lungs. There are some yoga breathing techniques which help you to breathe out completely until you cough and even spit and then take in a deep breath. Breathe 5 times normally then repeat the whole procedure 8 times.
There's a free web page for training 100 push ups within 6 weeks. More muscles on your upper body will force you to take deeper breaths.
3. Eat only natural food, avoid any flavorings. In your intestine are cells which can smell too, they analyze your food and tell other cells which digestive enzymes are needed. If you confuse this system all the time with flavors that dont represent the real food, you might confuse 70% of your immune system as well.Good luck, I didn't have to take cortisone for 3 years and no other medication for 2 years now ..
