Works for me, as long as it isnt a conservative republican. Anyone want this douche bag running our country?
Im not gay but Im on their side, and if someone is born gay (which is how it works by the way, made by the same god as this douchebag), they should be able to celebrate a marriage with someone the love of the same sex and share the same equal right the rest of us enjoy.
This guy has said before many times, everyone is created equal. Orly????
Sorry for the rant, these fucking people set me off every time.
- Will you allow polygamy then? 5 people should be able to celebrate marriage just like couples, no?...raf
- Sure why not?ukit
- marriage is really a safety net, just a paper document all smoke and mirrors to spend accumulate more debt.74LEO
- Anyone running on either side as an extremist, hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell. Left or Right.panacea

RP seems like a nice guy and I have no doubt he's sincere in his libertarian beliefs but how does he stand any kind of chance of winning the Republican primary?
Last election he got about 4 or 5% of the vote despite all the hype and money raised.
If Ron Paul really wants to make a difference he should run as an independent in the general election and not as a Republican.

He'd be the best president America could dream of. But presidential election isn't about choosing the right person. It's a liar contest. It's about choosing the Alpha male with the most oratory skills and PR budget.
People choose the one who promises them peace of mind, not someone who says "everyone should be free but the price is being responsible for yourself". No, they want to hear "you'll be safe, I'll take care of you". People want to be lied to in a comforting fashion.

His son is a fucking loon ..
- He's telling as it is: healthcare is not a 'right', it is a 'privilege'. Right is something that can be restricted...raf
- ...and a 'privilege' is something that can be granted. It is a huge difference you can build fallacies on if confused.raf
- What he said has never happened .. Physicians have made quite some loot over the last few centuries.Ramanisky2
- Slaves, I believe, made little to nothing for their services .. So wtf are saying raf?Ramanisky2
- He's explaining basics: healthcare is not a 'right'. Physicians are looting cause they closed the market.raf
- Were healthcare a 'right', you'd be able to demand it from govt. or healthcare practitioners.raf
- Judicial system works in this realm, you have a 'right' to a fair trial. No 'right' to aspirin or a bypass though.raf
- He's obviously colourfully exaggerating, state attorneys are obviously far from being your slaves in reality, raf
- Defend on .. raf ..
Defend onRamanisky2 - Raf stop with the logic! The other side can't even defend your position.VikingKingEleven
- The point raf is making if healthcare is a right then the govt can suspend those rightsVikingKingEleven
- Ram and others don't even look as an example of what not to do. Instead they look at europe as what to do.VikingKingEleven

Government, big corporations...both are giant power structures that can fuck you over.
I agree we need smaller government, but the trouble with Ron Paul and his followers is that they completely ignore the other side of things. In fact, they are in favor of scrapping things like food safety regulations and environmental protections which are almost certainly a good use of government.
- Net neutrality is another great exampleukit
- Somehow I doubt a large government will ensure net neutrality, it'll rather screw us all over.raf
- I don't think it needs to be big government, just a smart one that doesn't allow give in to big businessukit
- Real libertarianism is about opposing all forms of oppressive power, not just governmentukit
- You dont need heavy regulation if people who do harm are held responsible for their action if they cause harmyurimon
- mikotondria30
No one can free us from the corporations, it's too late. Ironically, a large well funded government is the only thing that slow them down, and they're losing the battle even now what with 20, 50, 100 corporate lobbyists for every representative.

If yanks cared to take a look outside their borders and see how universal healthcare works in most civilised countries, then perhaps attitudes may change a little.

^ you can forget about that. If they had wanted to really improve it, they would already have done so. I no longer care for the dysfunctional system that are American politics. Friends of mine who've gone to the US from Europe tell me other things (for instance, how cool the real people are).
Is there a shadow government in the US? As there is in Britain?
- Yes, it is called corporate America. Basically corporations with the most money have most influence.
monoblanco - yes. everyone else is fucked.mikotondria3
- there are conflicting interests.... medical costs will probably not go down for a long time, too much $$$ to be made....vaxorcist
