So, the doc says all links are intact. When I go to collect it only finds about half of them... anyone have any experience with this?

yeah, I've seen that.

I have clients who have that happen on almost every job they send me as a package? Fonts also? I've always presumed improperly changing file names and assigning random fonts to spaces and returns.

try a global relink if that doesn't do it; try the preflight option in the files menu, it should consolidate all your assets into a project folder.

are you using CS4? there was a known bug that resulted in missing linked images when packaging files. The culprit was any files that use a slash or backslash (/ or \) in their name. Since you can't use those characters in a PC environment it was only a problem on macs.
- can't use those on macs either, btwmonospaced
- not for the last 6 years, at leastmonospaced
- I just put a backslash in a file name on my desktop and it works.Gnash

Have you tried rebuilding document?
Guess it's just an itemLink problem...

I had this problem before and it was as Gnash said, but I thought it applied to more than just slashes.
