So I picked up an iPad for my parents hoping to do away with some of the complexities of a laptop.
Now we just sync our photos, iTunes went through the motions. Now how do I see the photos in the iPad?
I clicked on the photos icon on the ipad and it does not show them.
I looked for them using iTunes, no success.
Is this happening because we sync with a laptop PC and not a macBook? What else could it be?
Is it time to join Boz on his campaign to dethrone Apple?

theres a bunch of little things ipad does very bad.
photos is one of them.how did you sync the photos? did you select a folder from the itunes sync menu?
- monoblanco0
Yes, iTunes asked me to select a folder, so I did that and it began to sync. It took a while so it must have been doing something.
The pictures do have the .JPG file extension.
What else could I trouble shoot?
- sofakingbanned0
hmmmm.... is it just one folder with a bunch of images in it?
like:
my photos > picture.jpgyou might need to make subfolders:
my photos > summer > picture.jpgknow what i mean? but even with the first example those pictures would show up in your saved photos album... im not sure, might be a pc thing???
- ya there are multiple subfolders in the Photos folder.monoblanco

I am having some issues too. Half the images show up, other folders don't (all in the images folder). The organization sucks, too.
Look into thePortfolio app the everyone seemsto recommend.

Sync using iPhoto maybe.

Apple are terrible at dealing with photos. iphoto is the biggest pile of crap – generating extra stuff you don't need etc.
there's a big problem, I think, in snycing everything through itunes, which was only ever intended for music. now, they're stuck with it. needs an overhaul, with specifics for all the media that iphones/pads now hold
- iTunes is an apalling piece of software - peeps just put up with it because its Applefadein11

I use my ipad to surf while on the toilet. It has replaced my 'craptop'.
That is it's strength.

If you cannot use an ipad, you have proven your inability to adapt to new technology and you might as well be dead.
My mother has mastered it and also my 2 year old nephew...

So, I am having this annoying problem with my ipad..
I got it to sync to my gcal, and I was all excited. But I noticed whenever I make changes to the calendar on the ipad, it never updates to the web version of the google calendar (like, i added an event, and when i logged onto the computer it wasnt there).
But, if I make an event on the web calendar, it shows up on the ipad.I refreshed both to see if that would help...but it didnt...
Any ideas? Thanks!

iPad is a just a laptop with less functionality and a higher price.
- Maybe for you. I'm using iPad as a very portable sketch pad. My laptop or Wacom cant do that.ribit

i think you can do more with pc tablets... ipad is just a bigger iphone. tons of limitations.
