Anyone here in Japan right now? Interested to know how life in Tokyo and other cities is right now.

I am since almost 7yrs. It's little quieter than usual but nothing that noticeable if you aren't use to the city. Look like when we have big national holiday and many people are out of town. Many neon lights on dim mode and few schedules for rapid trains are cancel. Little less parties going on, less shoppers too and the almost daily/weekly small talk about the last aftershock or sakura picnic.

You're "here now" but want to know about "life in Tokyo"?

As sephil said there are less people out at night. Mostly because stores, gyms, such all closes at 6 now.

But for hanami it's packed as usual. Yoyogi have its crowd no less dense as the years before. Perhaps even more: last weekend, at about 5 o clock, 6 people had already plunged into the 20cm deep pond in the middle of the park. Radioactive water not discouraging.

Ignorance is a wonderful soon 3-eyed mothertruck of a bliss.

    • haha.
one day i'd very much like one of your reputable tours!

    • Haha. To be honest it was more of the amount of accumulated crow/bird feeces in the pond that discouraged me.Peter
