Is anybody tee'd up with iTunes from a music blog or whatever and get commission earnings?
Am interested to see if it's worth it, how hard it is to set up, what the returns are like etc.
Any resources or comments welcomed.

I found this on a blog (dated 2005)
"In this span of 6 months we have written 409 recommendations. That’s about 2 music recommendations per day including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. We’ve provided 15,275 click-throughs into Apple’s iTunes Music Store so far. There have been 617 orders of 1,698 items (albums and singles) which translates to a little over 4% conversion. People definitely buy way more singles than albums. I wish I could tell you exactly what people were buying, but unfortunately that level of detail is not available through the Affiliate Reporting Tool. The total sales figure so far is $3,345.40. Not too shabby for us talking about our collective music collections eh? From this total we receive 5% which equals out to $167.27. To put that in perspective, that equals out to about $0.93 a day or $0.47 an article or $339.45 for the year if we keep up with this trend. Right now that puts us at the break-even point when you factor in hosting costs."

Compared to AdWords (if anyone has done both) too.

I think it's the same as with any affiliate marketing. Yes you can make money doing it, but you need to drive huge amounts of traffic to your site in order to make it worthwhile.
Just adding a few links, sitting back and expecting the money to roll in will end in disappointment as you collect your 5 cent check from Apple.

I'm working on a project that is about to launch. We're using iTunes / Amazon affiliate program.
I'm of the mind that you do need tons of traffic driven in order to make it work. I'm approaching the project from that angle.
I'll let you all know how it goes :)

I briefly worked for a couple guys who literally made millions doing this stuff. There are also a lot of teenage and young twentysomething kids making ridiculous money. It's a weird industry:)

Keep us posted.
I had a question about international sales too.
Do you need an account in each sector eg. UK, NZ + AUS, US all providing different unique codes?
