Why are people so angry..
CS5.5 is an upgrade mostly for mobile, html5 and Flash, media encoder, Flash Builder and Flex, Catalyst etc etc.. if you don't need those things don't buy it.. simple as that..
Flash CS 5.5 alone has some really really cool things.. especially for developing for mobile.
- I was interested in the Dreamweaver CSS/HTML5/JQuery features.CyBrainX

So, seriously my niggas, what are the new tools for html5?
What are we looking at here?
It's not very ... clear.

oks... seriously.... forget flash, and HTML5 for just a minute...
The Warp Stabilizer in AfterEffects is a nice possiblity... if it's that good, it can make DSLR footage usable for things that usually required renting a different camera when you have lots of camera movement planned....
- there is already a stabaliser you know.Hombre_Lobo
- yes.. but I'm using older aftereffects without it....vaxorcist
- ouch, couldn't live without stabilize or trackingmoldero
- Hopefully it's better than the image stabilization in there already.CyBrainX
- yeh moldero, its ace isnt it, very reliable.Hombre_Lobo
- yeh id like to think so cybrain, but that video doesnt look any better than cs4's motion tracker (and smoothing)Hombre_Lobo

Just ran it by my director, he says its a good plug in for last resort fixing but if you depend on it your screwed.- the plug ins are very good, but investing in a stabaliser rig, is simple enough, better safe than sorry.Hombre_Lobo
- yes... not for sloppy footage, but for almost inevitable rolling shutter on sideways pans on tripodvaxorcist
- yup, better to fake the shake in AE then to realize shits too shaky to even usemoldero
- yeh moldero! get it on a tripod, scale up the layer, get your wiggle on! BOOM!Hombre_Lobo
- vax are you saying that the effect in the link posted above can remove rolling shutter? i didnt see that :(Hombre_Lobo

BACK THE SHIT OFF
does cs5.5 after effects have gpu rendering / acceleration???
if so it would be worth every fucking penny. Its almost shameful how only a handful of softwares actually use the gpu for anything more than just slapping an image on the display.
- thats right, i said SHAMEFUL!!Hombre_Lobo
- GPU memory issues make this a waste of time. Try using Motion and you'll start seeing the problemsanimatedgif

coffee much, Lobo?
- i need some coffee, grabin my dog ill be backmoldero
- wait right heremoldero
- Your dog is a coffee maker?CyBrainX
- lol, nah, im just amazed at the lack of sophisticated software, that uses all of the pc.Hombre_Lobo

I would love to rant, but realistically the only changes are Flash & Dreamweaver. http://www.adobe.com/products/dr… Dreamweaver being possibly worth the upgrade at 119.00. Still its too much too soon and it should be a free upgrade for CS5 users!

Ah... I get the direction they are taking Flash into.
I can see Flash 6.0 to fully export HTML5 apps.
Mark my words... in the future, Flash 6.0 is completely taking a turn into that territory. Which is pretty smart move on their part.

And now their creating a subscription process for monthly use. http://www.crunchgear.com/2011/0…
