When you're communicating changes to a colleague, how do you deal?
Inevitably people do things differently than you would, so the outcome is going to be somewhat unexpected. Do you let a lot of shit slide or nit pick and hammer them into submission?

depends...I'm usually picky, but if there are a lot of changes, I'll let some minor stuff slide.

A lot of it has to do with setting standards for your colleagues, and hiring accordingly to avoid having to micromanage. I love that I can trust my colleagues to execute to our standard as a team. We work on it and always share our efficient tricks with each other to ensure that we don't have to get "picky" when dealing with each other's work.
- basically, we're all extremely picky, but we're on the same pagemonospaced

Extremely picky. If every little detail isn't absolutely perfect, then it's not finished. This will usually only have to be done one or two times, then they'll probably know what to expect. But in the end, it's better for them because someone else will notice those small details.

Thanks. There are some helpful words there. (Minus the beatdown – it is a colleague, after all.)
