Hello all,
Is there a way in EA to create a simple artwork morphing effect, similar to the shape-tween in Flash?
Please let me know,
Thanks

Okay, let me ask an easier question.
Is there a way in AE to import an illustrator file but to convert layers into keyframes?
(like in Flash)

copy in illustrator > paste in AE... it will give you masks.

Sounds like your second question was like asking for a consolation prize for getting an answer to the first question.
You can do the exact same thing as a shape tween in After Effects if you create a solid, take your vector shape from Illustrator (I'm not sure if you can copy and past a path from Flash into AE). Then paste into AE with the solid layer selected. Make a keyframe for mask shape. Move up in the timeline to where you want your morphed result to be and past the second path. Make a keyframe for mask shape.
- Keep the same number of points at key frames or you'll get freaktweens.CyBrainX

Yes you can copy/paste from illustrator onto a new solid. If you make a keyframe under mask>shape with the first shape as cybrain says then when you paste the second shape down the timeline it will automatically make another keyframe creating the morph over the timeline.
