- Does Alexandra get....oh, never mind.BusterBoy
- ^ just a weeee bit.Ramanisky2
- I find the music overbearing.dopepope
- I’m enjoying it. Stick with intelliboy - first ep reminded me of Succession, setting up a mostly unpleasant bunch.MrT
- I liked it. Alexandra is amazingly fit too.Hayzilla

- overrated imo. but watchable!sarahfailin
- ^ yeah I didn't follow the hype so I enjoyed itGuyFawkes

Started watching The Outsider. Amazing cast and I love Ben Mendelsohn. But as soon as there was a sniff of something paranormal / supernatural, I was like nope! Can’t be having that nonsense. So I have bailed on it.
Is that weird? I feel like I miss out on a load of good stuff because I’m just irritated by anything even remotely mystical.
Are there more like me? Is there a cream you can get?
- Oops, wrong thread. Though it was general tv series thread.mort_
- nevermind what you said, this looks like a solid show actuallygrafician
- “nevermind what you said” haha, nice.mort_
- _mort .. you’ll be happy to know that you didn’t miss a thing ... based on the ending I saw.Ramanisky2
- Explained it all with monsters I’m guessing.mort_
- ^ something like thatRamanisky2
- @mort that happened with me when I watched Lost; loved it at first, until they introduced the smoke monster thing. They , well, LOST me at that point.Krassy
- Lost - yeah same. It started out so well. Somehow I made it to the end for the ultimate disappointment. Unforgivable.mort_
- ^ yeah for me Lost got worse after season 2 and the finale sucked ... what did you guys think of The Leftovers and its finale ??? I loved it.Ramanisky2
- Loved Leftovers but didn’t finish it. It was weird and interesting. Must get back to it.mort_
- ... which prolly means starting it againmort_
- I would def start from the beginning.Ramanisky2
- and it’s only 3 seasons.Ramanisky2
- I loved the Leftovers and haven't heard one bad word about it. It's so similar to Lost I'm surprised the reactions to both shows are so different.CyBrainX

This one was good.
- Cancelled?grafician
- hah I wanted to watch it, but I really don’t prefer content built around religious fanaticism. how dogmatically does it represent the christian view of life?sted
- The first few minutes of the pilot were so stupid we laughed and turned it off.monospaced
- cancelledBennn
- turned it off..api

- I went in with too high of expectations. Something was off for me with the pace, it felt like it could have been twice as long to properly tell the story.freakpelican
- Switched to another movie after 20 minutes. Pacing was off for me as well, perhaps not a topic that kept me interested or invested.helloeatbreathedrive
- I watched maybe 40 minutes of it. I felt like I needed to know a lot more about Orson Wells and William Randolph Hearst to know what was going on.CyBrainX
- yes it was kind of a mess. I learned a lot...but lotta problems with it as a movie. Oldman...I think he was wrong choicedkoblesky
- Watched the whole thing in one sitting. Was bored, but love Fincher and wanted to love this. Did not.dopepope
- knew this one was a flop and avoided...grafician
- Couldn't stay focused or care, but I did try for about an hour :/SteveJobs
- Looks amazing. That's the only good thing I can say.DRIFTMONKEY

So much awesome!!!
Episode 1 is based on my favourite short story ever! Can't remember the name/author, but pretty sure it was written by Peter F Hamilton.
- Absolutely LOVED this.dopepope
- binge watched it last night (only last 3 episodes to watch), yeah - some really fucking good episodes...Bluejam
- ...Suits, Good Hunting, Fish Night and Zima Blue were my favourites ... reminiscent of Heavy Metal / 2000ad Future Shock comic strips imoBluejam
- Marathoned the entire thing overnight as I worked.i_monk
- What a trailer LOL. Looks good.Hayzilla

Just watched the 3rd season of Fargo. Was much better than the 2nd I thought. David Thewlis and Ewan McGregor are both great in it.
I would've added the trailer but I just checked it and it was shit. Here's the first scene instead.
- all Fargo is good Fargomonospaced

I watched the first season of this back in 2017 when it came out and loved it, but then got caught up in other shit and didn't watch the other seasons as they came out. Digging back in now, seasons 2, 3, and 4.1 are out and it's sucking me right back in.

I'd've preferred to post some video in the stand up thread, but I can't find any good, translated ones.
Anyway, currently going through 'Comedians of the World' on Netflix with an episode every couple of days - last night it was Donel Jack'sman and it was the most I've laughed at the TV in a long time.
Not sure what's happened to stand-up, but a lot of it seems to be insipid, unfunny, self-congratulatory wank these days, but this guy pressed my buttons.
- Will check it out, thanks. Stewart Lee is also a great antidote to the usual drivel.mort_
- I've pretty much saturated my occasional supermarket buddy, Stewart Lee, these last couple of years :)Nairn
- Ha, same. Seeing him live might be the hardest I’ve laughed. So did you say hello to him while choosing fabric conditioner?mort_
- No, god no! i just eyeball him from askance. he gets fatter every time i see him, and now he looks like Santa Claus, hahaNairn
- Lol. Don’t think I’d approach him either.mort_
- Do you really go shopping with Stew? I've been watching his older stuff hahaIanbolton
- I've seen him a few times at my sainsbury's. To say that I go shopping with him would be a bit of a stretch... . But, fuckit, yeah. We're best buds.Nairn
- He waits for me by the fresh cut flowers, then we wend our seperate ways, coyly acknowledging each other 'til we hit the tills and see who won. He always does.Nairn
- It's the manpads. They cost a fortune.Nairn
- Poor santa.Nairn
- @Nairn, I used to shop at that Sainsbury's too, saw him a couple of times.. also had one of his kids run into the back of my leg on a scooter in n16 years ago !dee-dubs

Army of the Dead. What a fun, gory action packed turn off your brain movie. Gonna have to check it out again.
- from 1-10 to what extent the dialogues have been replaced with zombie growls?
https://www.youtube.…sted - Yeah, I yaarr'd it last night and watched a bit. Big Dave is always good. I hope they release some of the production art, would have been so much fun to work onface_melter
- It's interesting that they had to totally recast a char, then reshoot with her alone on a green screen. She never interacted in real-time with the other actorsbulletfactory
- definitely has its moments! it's a heist movie AND a zombie movie. has some shit that makes no fucking sense though too.sarahfailin
