^ totally agree
I absolutely don't give a shit about IE6, IE7 and IE8.. I develop for Chrome, Firefox, IE9, Safari.. they are the browser most people will have anyway shortly (next year most likely), not to mention that Microsoft will make sure IE9 is the only browser they have an help kill all others because IE9 is their best thing ever and a chance to take over the throne.
- I still build for 6, 7 & 8 though, just make sure your css3 degrades nicely. Round becomes square on ie, so no major issue.seeessess

- I reckon a lot of people still use IE .. no one who uses XP will be able to use IE9 - the world isn't going to upgrade to Win7 overnight.lukus_W2

My modal window / lightbox of choice: http://colorpowered.com/colorbox…
But...
there are also ones made to be just like Facebook if that's what you're after:

I've been using http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog…. Works reasonably well - and can be skinned pretty easily.
- I don't think it's worth using modal windows on mobile.lukus_W2

I would build it for you, but on the iPhone right now. What you need is a jquery lightbox of sorts. Take a look around google, they're very easy to implement. Drop me an email if you need any help.
