if i were you, i should lose the thick strokes off your logotype, make it bolder and give it a lighter-than-background drop shadow width 1px 0px 1px settings. that should give a nice depth.

This would be perfect if it was completely private. Love to have a place to get crit on work that isn't public.

Added some new tagging functionality and also an iPhone version of the site.

@detritus - yeah I know it wasnt very constructive, its just the last one he uploaded had masses of likes and got on the top spot for ages.
@Wolfboy - yeah good idea, will think about that.
@Carl_Weathers I know, there's a lot of crap on there too. Thats the problem with a community like this. There is no criteria for joining so it's good and separates it from sites like Creattica and Forrst, but the downside is there will be crap.
@lukus_W2 so therefore, yes a moderating system from the top 5% is a fantastic idea and one I've already started to implement. Those that get the most likes will get badges and the ability to moderate.
Thanks guys for your comments. I know its not the most original thing, but I did enjoy building the app. I didn't realize it would be this successful.

How about having a system where users who are in the top 95% of the site (in terms of 'likes') can flag a post that's of questionable quality. 3 flags and the item is removed. 2 removals and the creator is removed from the site.

you may need to get a large cyber-rake and pull it through the site.
Hopefully filtering out the likes of this. ttp://favwork.com/gamrcobe/393 I like the idea though, nice one.

Could you add a random button alongside the popular and recent buttons?
I think it would be nice when you've got loads of work on there to be able to bring up a grid of totally random pieces.

Do any of you use forrst?

I don't mean to be negative (it's just the way I am) but I don't see what use blindly positive feedback the like of which you've shared on the following page is, either to you, your site or your punters..

Favwork really took off last weekend, so have another look if you are looking for some inspiration: http://favwork.com

You can now edit your descriptions without changing your work. Just hover over your description.

@bjladams yeah its a good thought. I might make it so old items are archived perhaps. At the moment if you change it you will lose all your likes, so the idea is you keep it up to date and change it out every month or so to try and get on home page. Thoughts appreciated.

what happens if your one piece of work becomes really popular, but then you change your favorite - it just disappears? what if it was made where you could upload a new one weekly, but the old ones could hang around?

I'm about to add horriblelogos.com since all of the logos on there are top notch.

I'll make it so anything on the home page requires a certain number of votes, so there wont be crap on there soon I promise. Need your designs though guys, and more feedback too :-)

can you upload more that one fav? or is it just one at a time, like best friends in middle school? also- the bio only allows for 20 characters- which isn't much of a bio...
- The bio is short yeah, 20 chars, so it fits in the space. And it's one item of work - hence the Favwork idea. Feedback welcome.stulogy
