Ask your printer what they like for a rich black. It varies somewhat from one shop to the next, and it's better to be safe than sorry. But the one I've used time and again with different printers is 40/20/20/100.

Rich Black Values
In order for color side black borders, headlines, and text to appear dark and saturated ("rich”), you will need to set your CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) values accordingly:C = 90%
M = 80%
Y = 80%
K = 100%

Digital presses still use CMYK, so yeah, it is very relevant. A simple 100K is not rich

digital offset or digital output? people gotta stop saying digital press.
offset treat values just as you would traditional. output you can crank rich values cause its just toner.
