Is this a fair deal?

yeah it looks good. i'd think that kit would go for $1300-$1400 or so. $1000 is cheap.

d2x is a 6 year old body and all the glass was designed for film

also maybe you can ask him why he keeps his camera in the fridge.
- good questionbetelgeuse

All looks heavily used. I'd pass on it.

How can you tell it looks heavily used via a 300px image?
- it's missing a major buttonbetelgeuse
- $90 repair job.dMullins
- That button on the back looks worn to shit. Plus 98,000 clicks is quite a lot.canuck
- And if that one button is worn down like that, other things are probably worn too.canuck
- It's not worn. The button was hard plastic and it cracked in half so I removed it. $90 fix.dMullins

"all the glass was designed for film"
they're old cheap nikkor lens that are litterally pre-digital - aka junk
- Ok, fair enough.dMullins
- *shakes head*
pre-digital lenses are fine. lenses 2-4 are nothing special, but lens 1 is great.bigtrick - pre-digital lens often have poor collimation, as it wasn't required for filmbetelgeuse
- ...what is this jargon. the only difference i have heard between pre-digi and digi lenses is extra anti-flare coatings.bigtrick
- ...coatings.bigtrick
- google collimationbetelgeuse
- i did. and i did not find anything relevant.bigtrick
- hey wait a minute... is that you, justin?bigtrick
- m*dv*s*k*dbetelgeuse
- oh ok. then i grant you more respect and withdraw my hostile overtones.bigtrick
- still don't know what the fuck collimation has to do with digital vs nondigital lenses though.bigtrick
- don't. what i say is just my experience and opinion. you're opinion is just as valid and equal.betelgeuse
- Fuck all this nonsense. The real question is WHY IS IT IN THE FRIDGE?canuck

"It's my package."
Well then. While in my opinion it may not be worth buying at this price you shouldn't have much trouble selling it. You could probably start by setting the price a bit higher.
