Well, there's a lot of money difference between a super good Mac pro and a super good PC. If I gear up the Mac Pro, the price reach easily 3,000$+
I never think I would do this, but maybe my next computer will be a PC.

Obviously you care about price, and IMHO, Windows 7 is not actually that bad.

I wouldn't judge based on specs alone. Macs are just better in terms of user experience.
I have both a Mac and a PC set up in my office at home, and I use the PC basically as a media player for music and movies. Using a PC just isn't as fun, but your mileage may vary.

Apple do charge far far too much for their machines. Absolute rip off. components wise you could build the same apple pc for about a third of the price they charge.

You can buy the same components and build the machine yourself and it will be about the same performance.Infact, take the money an imac costs you and spend that on a oc and it will FAR FAR more powerful.

I'm just surprised anyone would not see a difference between Windows and OSX. Sure, install OSX on a PC if you really want to scrounge some cash, but to be stuck there using Windows just to save a few hundred...??
If you spend a lot of time doing something, it makes sense to pay more for the best possible setup.
