I particularly liked toward the end when Jeff bridges was arguing with Jeff Bridges and the were standing on a bridge.

I finally saw it last night, in lowly 2D at the second-run theatre (I'm not paying $20 to see a movie once! holy fuck!)
Dialogue 5/10
Visuals 14/10
Plot 7/10I don't know if it's brilliant or lazy that it's both a sequel and a remake of the original.
- 14/10?

I felt like everything was sub-par overall. If Jeff Bridges were not in the movie, I don't feel it would have very many redeeming qualities at all. Even though most of the environments were in 3D/special effects, the "Real3D" glasses seemed pointless. There was hardly enough 3D in the movie for what I was expecting. I remember the first time I saw that Michael Jackson 3D at Epcot when I was a kid. Now that was 3D. This new-fangled stuff sucks.
Get off the lawn!

I'm surprised so many of you thought the visuals were all that great. They were well-executed but theres a difference between that and imaginative. The fact that so many compared it to 2Advanced circa 2000 sort of proves the point.

biggest load i ever saw. style for styles sake, boring, predictable story, over acted, people just laughed at it when I saw it. The visual were slick, but at least the first one can say it was innovative and showed something no one had done before. Thumbs down for me.

it felt like the entire movie was a setup for a sequel. just introducing characters with no bearing on the story (which was pretty lame).
also the nightclub seemed to be nothing more than an excuse for a daft punk cameo.
- probably sell a lot of soundtrackssothere

I really liked the film as an enjoyable cinema experience (ie not as a profound lifechanging experience) but I was utterly perplexed about the ISOs who were just casually mentioned, explained, then played a key role in the plot and then were gone again.
It could have been written without them. Whatever obstacle was encountered when crafting a linear, logical, and plausible plot, they were definitely not the way to resolve it.

no. I have not.
