  Several people at my office have been cut off and will be spending the night here.

  The CBD is being evacuated, and I'm about to head back to my apartment incase the valley gets hit and I'm cut off. I only live 3 blocks away but there are some low lying roads in between here and there.

  My apartment is on the top floor of the building so my main concern is what will happen to my car, as it's parked in the 2nd basement of the building..going to see if I can park it up on a hill somewhere!

  soggy as hell. won't flash flood just a slow rise over the next 48 hours. should be interesting. I'm on the hilly side of new farm so i should have a good view of the waters.

  Jess, I looked at the flood maps and saw around James St will get possibly some surface flooding - not direct water from the rain but from the drains...? I'm pretty sure I saw shops on chester st sand bagging too~!!
