Offers a laptop and a desktop computer experience...all powered by the phone.
Nvidia Tegra 2 with 1GB of RAM.

In execution they seem to do a good job, but reviews will make that clear, but generally what a great direction for smart phones to go in.

What a shitty, uneven work surface. Look at that mouse pad. I'm appalled.
- ha, pleased to see your designer eye is still sharp :P
tbh you would expect A LOT better from a CES promo standHombre_Lobo - It's a freaking notebook to bootmanonthestreet

1 gig of ram phone...hopefully this will play the ps1 and n64 emulators smoothly.
And the nulldc dreamcast emulator if were lucky!

I like it. With the current generation of processors it'd just mean a nice fullscreen browser and stuff, but in a few years time when phones could be running stuff with a bit more oomph, this could be really neat.
- Exactly! Very innovative for motorola. Just think of doing web dev and design on your phone At work in like 2 years. Very coolHombre_Lobo

So I don't get it....you buy the phone, the doc, and the laptop? Instead of just a phone you can tether?
- orrinward0
The more I think on this, the more I like it.
If only the laptop part wasn't specific to a single product. I'd love to have a smartphone with an HDMI slot that I could just plug into an empty shell of a laptop with a screen and a keyboard.
I simply don't like an on-screen keyboard when doing extensive writing.
Separating the device from the interface is something I'd be very interested in using.

Give me a phone with a key board port and a monitor port...keep your stupid fakey lap top shell.
- I guess thats what the dock is. im stupid forgive memanonthestreet

^well that's what it does.
With it's dock.
- Yes...i got that...finally ^manonthestreet

I just watched the video on this, and holy shit in a shopping cart! WANT!

hm...not bad.

Pretty cool...the concept is great.
In terms of actual use, I'm not sure I see myself throwing away my Mac for Linux running on a phone. But I could see it being a nice option for a low income consumer. Skip the $500 desktop PC and just get a phone.
- Maybe we should stop calling them phones at some point if they start to be used more for computing than making calls:)abettertomorrow

Seriously, If Apple came up with the exact same concept, form factor, color, etc...,
the usual Fantards would be applauding this device and circlejerking while calling it a came changer. But no, it had to be Motorola, fuck nobody owned one since the startac,
so it is lost in a sea of denial and hate, from people that use a computer not because it allows them to create but just because it is pretty and in.Then you wonder why this world is fuckn doomed.
- Exactly. well said dude. apple make good stuff, but they still get worshiped for the shit stuff.Hombre_Lobo
- Golf clap sir!!!fyoucher1
- georgesIII0
is there something not to like in this device?
- I commented before watching the video. I do like this.manonthestreet

why does apple need to be mentioned in every tech thread? and always by the people who seem to hate apple. gosh.
- because retards completely ignore the industry technological advances untill apple puts and apple on top of itgeorgesIII
- i dunno where you hang out but i don't normally hear people geek out over computers/phonesinteliboy
- retards should i say...inteliboy
