Thomas Bangalter: "The music we worked on with Kanye was super primal and raw and super violent. It was the opposite of our new album in lots of ways. It was really exciting to do something completely raw."

Well yeah, one would think that when one of the most important, beloved and successful groups of the last 20 years makes a record with a list of legends, contemporary and from decades past, with the intent to revolutionize electronic and dance music, they should be able to promote it.
I can't stomach any Daft Punk hate. These guys are fucking legends. Half of the best times of my life are keyed to their beats.
Plus, you know this new album is gonna get everyone laid right?

The Moroder video is a good insight into what we can expect from Daft Punk. The same sound but rather than sampling old tunes they've got people in to play tones then add their trademark sound on top.
As for being "something new" in terms of sound, naaaaa. same ol' same ol' and i'm getting tired of all the hype everywhere :P

(I'll still buy it though)georgesIII - by "hype" you mean other people appreciating something you obviously don't?doesnotexist
- "hype" in terms of 'if this was anyone else playing real instruments ....23kon
- ... in dance music - they wouldnt get the same amount of hype'23kon
- it's just cos it's "daft punk". pure marketing + marketing budget! nothing groundbreaking!23kon
- I'll still probably buy it too though :P just come-on with all this hype ...23kon
- I don't know/think that the hype will live up either. I am interested to see though.cotton
